The first SOS Health Foundation fundraising event for South Australia was held on 28 May. State Representative (SA), Kelli Hobbs, and her team coordinated this outstanding musical trivia event to raise much needed funds to support our work in urban and remote communities of Australia.
The event was well supported with around 80 attendees who really got into the spirit of the night creating a great atmosphere, without losing sight of the purpose of the event. The MC was former South Australian personality, Nathan Strempel, who skillfully kept proceedings moving along. Highlights included Tom McKnight who provided live music and laughter, and the Air Guitar competition, most capably judged by Pembroke High School year 11 students.
From a fundraising perspective the event was a huge success, well exceeding the target. So thank you to all who participated in all of the activities. Symphony of Trivia would not have been as successful without your support and willingness to enjoy yourselves.Well done SA! ‘Successful to be Significant’.
Special acknowledgement to the businesses who donated goods and services for the silent auction and event prizes. Thank you all for your very generous support.
