It’s chilly outside but we are looking forward to spring and work4significance Day
On Tuesday, 1 September 2015, SOS Health Foundation will hold our premier annual fundraising event work4significance Day hosted by participating physiotherapy practices nationally. Funds raised in past years have supported the provision of physiotherapy and related health services for those who can least afford them in urban and remote communities within Australia.
Through the support of these Physiotherapy practices, their staff, clients and suppliers we have been able to make a real impact on many individuals and communities.
- Health Outreach Program to NE Arnhem Land, providing over 30 Homeland communities with physiotherapy services they would otherwise not have access to.
- Health Outreach Program to Palm Island, Nth Queensland, providing this indigenous community with physiotherapy and related services where allied health has been irregular.
- The first full time Physiotherapy practice in an indigenous community in Australia on Palm Island, Nth Queensland providing a permanent service for the 3,500+ indigenous population.
- Free Physiotherapy Clinic in Melbourne CBC and Brisbane CBC for the homeless and those vulnerable and at high risk of homelessness.
Together we can be significant in the lives as we transform lives through health.
