Brisbane Probono Physiotherapy Clinic – Now Open!

probono clinic volunteer physio - John Den-KaatProviding a service in Brisbane to those living in social poverty or are homeless, has been six months in the planning and now a reality. On 22 July, our first clients came through the doors of a modest probono physiotherapy clinic where SOS Health Foundation is providing health services for those in need.  Volunteer staff align strongly with SOS Health values and all our clients can be assured of being treated with respect and dignity and will receive quality physio services… because all people matter

John Den-Kaat from Redlands Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Centre has been instrumental in setting up the Clinic in Brisbane and is the first to volunteer in the Brisbane Clinic. He said:

“I have been a physio. for 24 years and I am thankful for my blessed life, consequently I wanted to do volunteer work “to give something back”. Personally, I strongly believe that helping and being of service to others is what defines you. Homelessness can happen to anyone, and I am extremely grateful to the Salvation Army for providing rooms at Pindari Hostel and the SOS Health Foundation who have made this exciting project a reality.”
